Who We Are
During the decades of Civil War, the entire infrastructure of electricity, roads, and water sanitation were destroyed. Even now, after10 years of relative peace, there is no public electricity outside a very small portion of the Captial City of Monrovia. The country has no pipe-borne water or sanitary sewers anywhere.
The statistics are staggering:
The level of destruction done to the Liberian society during the war continues to have very real effects to this day, but there is hope.
