Director for Liberia
Daniel J. Mellish is a graduate of the A.G Bible School, Owensgrove, Liberia, and presently doing his BSC in Theology. He is pastor of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Lower Buchanan and the Presbyter of the Monrovia District overseeing the operational affairs of the A.G Churches within Grand Bassa County. He and his wife, Victoria, have 12 children, 7 by birth and 5 by adoption. Rev. Mellish has been the Field Director for Liberia since its inception.
Allieu F. Barbue
Alliue F. Barbu is a graduate of the A.G Bible School, Owensgrove, Liberia, and pastor of the Benaiah A.G church in Fair Grounds Community, Buchanan. Rev. Barbu is married to Kumba Barbu who works in the Feeding Program. Rev. Barbue oversees the Feeding Program for BESTWA Liberia.
Patrick B. Zondo is a graduate of Teacher’s College (KRTTI) in Kakata Mar-gibi County with a degree in education. He has served as Principal of several schools in and around Grand Bassa County. He is a member of the Grace Gospel Baptist Church, Lower Buchanan. Patrick and his late wife Edith had five children. He is presently an instructor at Pillar of Fire High School in Buchanan and serves as the Liberian Board Secretary.
Matthew Chea serves as Deacon of the First A.G Church in Lower Buchanan. He and his wife, Rebecca, have been married for 34 years and have four children. He is a farmer and serves as an Elder in his local church. Brother Chea is responsible for security mattters for BESTWA and has served on the board since its inception.
Board of Directors
John Paygar is zone leader for the Gorzohn Community in Buchanan, Liberia. He has been a Deacon at the Rock Church, Central Buchanan, for the past 10 years. Bro. Paygar is married to Sarah and has children and grandchildren. He is responsible for overseeing the building of the Dennis Birthing Clinic in Four Houses Community, Buchanan.
